Mini Sticks Overview

In conjunction with Hockey Australia, Townsville Hockey Association is proud to offer the beginners Hockey program Hookin2Hockey - Mini Sticks for players aged 4 - 7 years old.

Hookin2Hockey - Mini Sticks gives young boys and girls the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills, and make friends, all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey.

The program is Term based and open to all new and existing players. 

The Program:

Each week the Hookin2Hockey - Mini Sticks Program will, under the guidance of qualified coaches and mentors, include:

• Beginner - Basic hockey skills and fun modified games
  Level 1 - Harder skills and more modified games 
• Each level will focus on hockey safety as a key part of our game.

When:

In 2024 Townsville Hockey is offering FREE Come & Trys in Term 1.

SIX Free sessions at Murray Sporting Complex.

• Friday 16th February 5pm-6pm
• Friday 23rd February 5pm-6pm
• Friday 1st March 5pm-6pm
• Saturday 9th March 8:30am - 9:30am
• Saturday 16th March 8:30am - 9:30am

Hockey Sticks are available for new players wanting to give hockey a go.
